    Description

A rare piece of Ashtabula,Ohio history celebrating the City of Ashtabula turning 150 years old. The State of Ohio turned 150 years old on the same date as well. Plaque reads Ashtabula Sesqui-Centennial 1803-1953 on a large, I believe brass coin with different pictures such as covered bridge, boats etc. There is also a brass plate that reads June 22, 1953 Sesquicentennial. It was celebrated with a week long celebration in Ashtabula that took a year to plan. Measures 12" x 9" x 3/4 " and weighs 4 lbs 6 oz. Thanks for looking!
