One Of A Kind Art Doll created entirely by hand direct from the artist, Mark A. Dennis (Madsculptor).
She is made of CosClay polymer clay, which is a flexible clay, on a rigid armature so she can be shipped anywhere around the world without fear of cracks or breakage. Her eyers are made from stone beads, her hair is dyed mohair, the colors are acrylic washes and Pearlex Powders for a proper mermaid shine on her tail and fish. The goldfish remove from the back of her hand and she comes off her marble base for ease in shipping. Her tail is made of flexible Translucent Liquid Sculpy. Like all of Mark's sculpts, she is a portrait piece which means that she is created in the likeness. of an actual person (who is not an actual mermaid but is a lovely young lady).
Mark has been creating Art Dolls since 2001 and has authored a book,
the Human Figure in Clay,
which is used by many of todays doll artists as a reference in creation their own art.
