Description: Here is an Awesome Native American Choctaw Women Photograph by a very important Native American Photographer Gannaway. I was able to figure out a lot more research on the group of items I picked up together and here it is. Gannaway had his spot in Fort Smith Arkansas which was right on the edge of Native American Territory, which is now Oklahoma. This photo is unique and each photo Gannaway took was unique and one of a kind. This is a special piece in all aspects. It is marked Gannaway SO Mcalester I.T. (McAlester Indian Territory) JJ McAlester whom started the McAlester I.T. Was also from Fort Smith Arkansas. Gannaway photographed the some of the earliest Native American photos and the earliest photos of the Osage, Wichita and Comanche tribes. I’ve only seen one other Choctaw photo in which he took. I picked up several Choctaw photos in which they all came together as one along with a few other Choctaw items, that I will be listing. This has great subject matter and you don’t see photos like this very often, with the great background and group it all came from. This piece is still in nice condition for the age. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PHOTOS FOR COMPLETE CONDITION OF ITEM PRIOR TO PURCHASE. Don’t miss out on this one! An amazing addition to the collection! You can Research Burrell Z. Gannaway and see auction results that sold for big money and other information on his importance with Native American photography, online.
